70l cement mixer - mix qty

I’ve notice borrowed a 70L cement mixer with a 45L working capacity (apparently)
will be mixing up concrete and cement this coming week, any idea what I should use for measuring the ballast and cement? Am guessing 7 shovels (6:1 ratio) will be more than 45L?

Guess it depends on how much you load on the shovel.  Dont heap it up, should be fine.

Get the mixer going before you load it, don't overload the shovel.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

Crikey. How big is your shovel?

Imagine three two-litre coke bottles. Can you balance that much ballast on your shovel?  :)

I used buckets. 2 buckets of aggregate. For cement I made a mark inside the bucket.
