2 bed house - second bedroom too small?

Taking a look at some 2 bed houses and came across one on rightmove (can't post links yet, but property-81259894.html is the end) - however the second bedroom is 3.5m x 2.4m which felt a little small on viewing. Does anyone have any ideas on how this could be extended at all? Or would you just walk away? You could fit a set of wardrobes in there and a double bed but not much else.
Potentially worried about resale value etc for the property - although I only really plan to live in it at this stage, never know what may change later on.

That doesn't seem that small to me? It's still a double, just about.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

That sounds like a normal 2nd bedroom size to me. I doubt all that many 2nd bedrooms (in 2 bed homes) are regularly used as double bedrooms anyway.

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/fullscreen/view-floorplan.html?propertyId=81259894That's a perfectly normal looking two bed house floorplan. One bedroom is always going to be smaller because the bathroom has to go somewhere. You can steal some wardrobe space from the other room, but why? You want a big master bedroom.I think your issue is spacial
awareness, because the house is empty.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

We had a thread recently where someone queried the size of the master bedroom which was similar size to the second bedroom mentioned by the OP. On that basis, this is a large second bedroom.1

8.4 sqm is not exactly small, it's actually a decent size. I'd be more annoyed with a 2.5 x 2.2 and I've seen a lof of those ...0

I usually work a double out as around 8'. This is just shy, but much longer so should just about be doable as a double. (Just seen they have put 8' on the floorplan so I'd definitely call it a double.)
What is it you're using it for? Grown up child? Guest room? Baby?
You're unlikely to get two large doubles in a 2 bed house. Looks okay to me.2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0 -
I looked at a retirement flat last week which had a long and thin bedroom
Bedroom Two
12' 7'' x 5' 3'' (3.83m x 1.60m)
Double glazed window. . Triple fitted wardrobe.

I just looked at the details from when we bought (can’t be bothered to measure!) and our 2nd bedroom is 3.17m by 2.46m. I don’t consider it small. You can fit a double bed and wardrobe in but we use it as an office. I think most people looking at 2 beds will either be singles, couples or couples with 1 child so no issue.
Maybe I don’t think it’s small because our neighbours (who have an identical footprint house) have 3 bedrooms. Their master is small and the other 2 bedrooms are very small as is their bathroom. The houses were built without bathrooms inside so when the owners installed a bathroom everyone did something slightly different.0 -
If you take the "wardrobe space" from Bed 1, you'll end up with 2 long, narrow bedrooms. Either accept what is there or look for something elseIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
