Wrongly applied CCJ by Erudio student loans - Help!

Hiya, first time poster so apologies if this is in the wrong place.
Long story short, I have a CCJ against me from Erudio student loans which was applied in 2018 (I graduated in 1996) I have never earned enough to start repayments, I missed my deferment deadline once, maybe twice so did have some payments taken out which was my own fault so I'll take that. They then said I couldn't defer and I had to start paying back the loan which I obviously disagreed with, which leads us to where I am now. I have a once in a lifetime opportunity of purchasing my own home thanks to the help of my Mum and brother which is not going to happen because of this CCJ. I forgot to add that I took an early settlement earlier this year to clear all my debts in readiness for a mortgage application.
Has anyone had a similar experience with Erudio and their legal side, Dryden Fairfax Solicitors? I don't care about getting the money back; I just want to get rid of the CCJ.
Huge thanks in advance,
Debs xx

I'm afraid I can't see any way you'll get this cleared - you've settled the amount owed so you've accepted that it was a valid debt. Does it show as 'satisfied' on your credit file?

How did you actually end up with the CCJ? Erudio can't just 'give you one' - you must have been served with court papers, which you presumably replied to, and defended in a court hearing? Please don't say that you ignored them and hoped it would go away...?

Unfortunately I think you're going to have to suck it up for the next 4 years until the CCJ drops off your file. That said if your CCJ is now Satisfied, you may at least be able to get a mortgage via a broker, albeit you'll have to accept a higher interest rate.
  • there is no company called  dryden fairfax solicitors.   they are dryden ltd a company bought out and directors fired to give a so call legal image to the arrow global  all companies erudio use are all part of the same company.
they lie and cheat all they want is the money  even if you dont owe it.   i got the cjj because there assistant told the judge i had not communicated with them when i used resolver and  dryden decided not to respond
dont pay them  we all need to join together and attack them    they are liars and cheats  they will threaten you to get the money it is all they care about.
if slc held me for 3 more months i would have had the money written off   but as soon as erudio got it  they said i had arrears which i did not have  defered every year.   they dont care about you and if you have the money to pay   they are scam artists
