Love Holidays suddenly cancelled holiday, but still selling it

So I was due to fly to Spain on the 17th July after booking a package with Love Holidays.
The FCO have lifted restrictions, the flights are still operating and the hotel is open. I received an email from Love Holidays confirming the holiday was still going ahead last week only to receive one today from them advising that the holiday has now been cancelled due to the ongoing situation. No further explanation given, rechecked my flights are still confirmed and the checked with hotel directly saying Love Holidays have cancelled the booking.
However I can go on to their website and book the same holiday for the same dates but wit a different flight. Surely this isn’t legal?
judging by comments on their website they are uncontactable but who can I report this too? It feels like they are using my money to give other people refunds!

    You are assuming that , despite the flight still showing as confirmed, that loveholidays haven't been notified that it's going to be cancelled .

    They may not be able to find replacement flights

  • We have the same thing Three families booked with love holidays but all were cancelled last night should be flying out to spain on the 17 july  rang jet2 flights still available and emailed the hotel and its open for business But no way of contacting love holidays its beyond a joke .
  • Wow, this is different!   Most complaints are that Love Holidays haven't cancelled holidays now people are complaining they have?   As Love Holidays have cancelled, you will be entitled to a full refund.  Logic kind of tells me there has to be a reason they have cancelled simply because Love Holidays won't want to part with any more money than they have to?   Could it be anything to do with restrictions on board?   There was talk of leaving seats empty?   Not up to date on that one.  Doesn't help to minimise your disappointments I know but things are tough just now for everyone.
  • After waiting 3 hours on live chat to talk to someone the reason for cancelling Company decision but we can only claim for part of the total amount paid for holiday they have said we need to sort a refund out for the flight with jet2 rang jet2 they said love holidays paid for the flights they need to cancel the flight and claim for refund !!! Trying to get back in touch with love holidays for 3 days now on live chat and still not able to speak to anyone!

    If you paid for a package with Love Holidays (ATOL certificate stating?)   then they are the ones who need to sort it out.   They have cancelled so you can opt for a full refund.  However, realistically they won't get to you until after your date of travel has passed and then more some but there should be options on your account with them on the website which will direct you?    If they are not on now, they should be on after date of travel.  Keep checking.  No point in hanging on phone for hours for next few days.
