Landlord wanting to sell, son on shielded list

Shielding is being paused from early August. You could allow the valuation to take place then, and keep your child in a different room.

It seems a shame to have gone through the economic pain of lockdown, only to squander it. However, I am in a privileged position. I live in a house with a garden, and there is a very large park nearby for exercise. I realise it’s much harder for people in flats without outside space. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?6

Whatever relaxing of the rules takes place I shall continue to shield though may relax my own rules slightly. But I shall still be 'vulnerable', and coronavirus will still be out there.....

OP needs to clarify if the LL is seeking to sell with vacant possession or not.

I agree totally with a few comments on here. I haven't relaxed my restrictions at all. And will continue in this way until there's an effective vaccine in place.
I'd ask the LL that if anyone from outside the close family comes in the house, will he pay to have the place sanitised as your son's need for isolation remains the same as it always was. But I'd also be looking to take advantage of the reduced risks right now and move as quickly as possible.
I also agree that the world seems to have gone mad, one week its stay away from work, then its suddenly 180 degree U turn, everyone must go back to work, ignore the risks that still exist and wait for the second wave.1 -
