Freesat volume.

I have purchased a 4K Freesat box however the volume is quite quiet. I was able to adjust the volume of the box until I set the remote to the tv. I now cannot adjust the volume of the sat box with the remote. On Sky I could change the remove operation between sky and tv.

Anyone know how to raise the volume of the sat box?

Thanks

Fred

Not sure about the 4K Freesat box but with my Humax Freesat box if you press the TV button on the remote you can control TV functions incl volume, if you then press the STB button on the remote the volume keys control the volume on the box.

I didn't think there was more than one make.

  • I have a humax freesat box .
What I tend to do, is turn the tv volume all the way up . Then I turn the volume up on the humax box . Sometimes I have to alternate between set top box mode and TV Mode for some reason as when changing channels , the function gets stuck for some reason .

I find that the radio stations are louder than tv channels for some reason .

I do the opposite. I set the volume on the Freesat box to 40 and leave it t that, then just adjust the volume on the TV accordingly.

If there's no seperate button what does pressing the TV button alternately do, does it switch between TV and STB?

Also why do you need to adjust the volume on the STB, surely you can just use the volume for the TV, did you follow the instructions fully when pairing the remote to the TV, particularly the bit about setting the freesat box's volume to max before pairing it?

Well you need to unpair it, following the instructions in the manual then pair it back again with the freesat volume set to max.
