Hi all.
I would appreciate some advice please.
I would like to know whether heated screen washer jets are as effective as a heated windscreen (as fitted to Ford amongst others).
Many thanks in advance.

Effective at what? They usually come specified together.

My Volvo has heated windscreen and it's brilliant - clears a frosted windscreen in around 30 seconds. I also have the heated jets but I've never noticeably used or needed them. I suspect the anti freezing has as much to do with the screen wash mixture than the heated jets.

Heated washer jets are to prevent the fluid from freezing on the nozzle, not as an alternative to defrosting the screen.

No. they're only effective at stopping the washers jets from freezing, they do not heat up the water to clear a frozen windscreen.

I have a Ford with the heated screen. It is a great bonus on frosty mornings. I was wondering whether the washer jets had any effect on a frozen screen. Apparently not.

Because I've had both on a vehicle that would suggest that it wouldn't work in the way you hope.
