Can anyone tell me if this looks like a water stain please and how to remove?

Hi, it sounds ridiculous but I have a stain on my (newish) sofa and I don't know what it is - it's sort of white in the middle with a ring around the edge. The children, of course, have no idea
but they generally aren't allowed to eat anything messy on them and only drink water or squash. I didn't notice it for a few days so it was already dry by the time I started trying to clean it. I've tried the cleaning bits that came with the sofa but to no avail. Any ideas or advice on how to clean would be great please. Thanks, Jenny.

It looks like a spill that's had a poor attempt at being cleaned, possibly with some foam type of stain cleaner.0

Something's been spilled or some sort of moisture which has pushed the 'dirt' (just general usage) to the outer edge. The middle spot has either slightly removed the colour or the original colour before using.I've had this happen when I've tried to spot clean big things instead of washing and rinsing the whole lot - like duvets. Any dust and such inside the fabric leaches out and forms a ring.BTW I'm not saying its dirty
just general dust and such that filters naturally inside the sofa is drawn out.
Using an upholstery attachment to a carpet washer which cleans then sucks out moisture over the whole seat will get rid of it or reduce it. Do it on a hot day and keep everyone away until it's really dry. Prob 24hrs on a hot day but 2 days would be better. Otherwise it will pick up stains from clothing if damp when used. Borrow from a friend or hire one (some supermarkets hire them out) if you don't have one.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
