Sky Existing Customer Offer on Account

Hi

I've just logged on to my Sky account and there's a renew offer for Sky Sports or Sky Entertainment that effectively extends my current offer for another 18 months. Obviously this will be subject to their next price increase. It seems to me they are offering me a deal that I would normally have to haggle for. Has anyone had experience of taking up one of these offers online?

I was with sky a good few years ago and used to get offered these offers, I did usually take them but i did give them a call before hand to see what the terms and conditions. When i had been offered some great offers in the past the price they offer are sometimes for a set time eg: 6 months before it goes back to normal price so i would definitely give them a call before hand.

I did give them a call as it seemed too good to be true. The discount was just their standard re-contract discount. I did look at the page you get if you click on the link and it is quite misleading. It said new monthly cost would be the same as my current deal which you interpret to mean you are going to get another 18 months at the same cost but of course this is not the case. When I rang them and explained my thoughts they ended up giving a good deal after a little haggle. It was actually much easier than talking to the retentions team.
