Ryanair Misrepresenting Refunds

I have just finished a second live chat with Ryanair. The first one in May, where the agent told me that my cash refund was in a queue and would be processed in queue order, left me feeling not only frustrated but angry at the fact that I was hearing people speaking about getting their refunds however their flights were cancelled AFTER mine. My flight was cancelled on the 19th of March and I put in for a cash refund on the 20th of March, so clearly the "queue" was not being dealt with in date order.
The "contact us" page on the Ryanair website now clearly states that all cash refund requests for flights in March were cleared by 30th June, I printed off that page on the 4th of July. However TODAY (10th July) I received a voucher - NOT a cash refund - the reason being that (this is copied from the email they sent to me) "The processing time for cash refunds is taking far longer than normal as we are processing over 1,000 times the normal volume of cancellations due to the Covid-19 crisis." Now correct me if I am wrong but surely their "contact us" webpage is very obviously a misrepresentation of the facts?
Now on to todays live chat, the agent stated that I had been offered a voucher and as I do not want to accept it I will be placed in the "cash refund" queue - but at the BACK of the queue - which means it will take 6-8 weeks to process my refund!!! Seriously what are Ryanair thinking! When I asked if I could be placed higher up the queue as I had already been waiting this long and the fact that they moved me into a different queue is not my fault - the answer put simply - NO.
For me this company is treating us all like fools, they are indicating that cash refunds are being cleared but actually they are simply lying - then offering a voucher so that they can kick you off the cash refund queue. Then when you don't want the voucher they put you at the back of the queue with a new date! This is completely unethical! If there is anyone else out there waiting for a cash refund, get on to them and make sure they do not do to you what they have just done to me.

Bypass them and request a chargeback from your bank. I am also waiting for a refund though also put in a chargeback, I'll see which comes first0

They’re the Wetherspoons of the travel industry with similar levels of service.While frustrating, please don’t take it out on the person trying to help you - they’re only doing their job and their hands are tied.I hope people remember how companies have behaved during the pandemic once it’s all over.1
