Car Lease
Hi, I was expecting a new lease car to be delivered on 25th April. It was delayed due to covid to the end of June and never transpired, now I've been told it will be the end of July.
I'm having second thoughts now and am thinking of cancelling and just buying something instead. Am I tied in to the arrangement or can I walk away? All I've paid it the admin fee. Any help much appreciated. Sophie

What does your lease contract say? We can't see it.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

You need to check the contract to see what the cancellation terms are. A delay in delivery is not usually an excuse to cancel.0

As others have said, check what the agreement says.
Even if there is not a cancellation clause, you can still ask.
Especially if your circumstances have changed so that you can no longer afford it. I doubt it is really in the finance company interest that you take a car but default on payment.
If you have just changed your mind, that is less reason for them to cancel.0
