Sunshine holidays package turkey August

Hello there is a party of 20 of us due to fly to Turkey on 10th August. We have tried to contact the hotel to see what restrictions are in place as we booked an all inclusive and have not been able to get through for over a week or any response to emails. There are lots of people saying they have contacted hotels booked though Sunshine and have been informed they are not open Until next year due to Covid yet Sunshine have advised their holidays are still going ahead. We are due to pay the balloon payment in a few weeks but concerned Sunshine won’t cancel as Turkey is now in the flight zone but we will turn up to a hotel that is either closed or will not offer any of the activities/services that we paid so much for. We have tried contacting Sunshine but they are not replying. What can anyone recommend?

We are in a similar situation but our tour operator is talking to us. We discovered ourselves that the hotel in Turkey is shut. The operator has offered us another hotel, which is open, but we don't want to go. What are we meant to do? Sit around the pool in a face mask or not be able to go in the pool when it's hot in case we come near another swimmer?
From what I can find out here, we have no right to demand a refund as they have not made a 'significant change'. It's very frustrating. Apparently we can get a refund for the accommodation, but not the flights.
Have a look on the hotel website, if they have a whatsapp symbol, send them a message. We decided what we wanted to ask, then used translate and sent the message in Turkish. They came back to us within minutes to tell us they were shut this summer. The tour operator was telling us it was open.
Good luck with getting your money back, or with getting away if that's what you want.1 -
Look at all the threads on here with reference to On the Beach, which is the parent company for Sunshine I think. IIRC there are lots of people in a similar situation to you.1
