Lastminute Alitalia flights 'cancelled'. How do I get a refund?

i booked Alitalia flights on Lastminute.com back in December to fly to Italy this week. I contacted Lastminute 10 days ago and they advised flights were cancelled (no email to notify us. I've now made alternative travel arrangements). I asked for a refund but Lastminute.com not responded to my email. I really want a refund and not Lastminute vouchers. What should I do next?

As long as they were cancelled and not 'cancelled', you can get a refund0

Lastminute.com has been absolutely terrible to deal with. They emailed me on the 19th of March to say my return flight was cancelled, leaving me stranded in New Zealand. Apart from two emails saying basically “we’re working on it, wait” I’ve had no contact from them since.
I have an insurance claim for the cost of getting home, but that is also held up as they want to see what I can recover from lastminute.
That may not be what you want to hear, but if my experience is anything to go by you’ll be lucky to see your money by Christmas.1 -
I just got my refund back today for flights that were cancelled on March 19th - they are incredibly slow and bad at communicating.1
