Decorator quote

I'm normally OK but I'm stumped with decorating as I've always done it myself. 

Quote of £995  for dining room, kitchen and utility.
2 x coats on walls, ceiling, skirting. 
Dining room is in good order as was only done a year ago by myself so just painting and priming patch of new plaster (old light fittings). Mainly 3 wall as two French door on the other so not even a quarter of a wall..


Kitchen will be brand new so priming some new plaster. Again 2x coats on walls and ceiling. Had the bath overflow so ceiling to be stain blocked. 

Same for utility.

All materials supplied except the wall colour.

 How high are the ceilings? I've just been quoted £520 for large kitchen/diner and small rear hallway. 1930s house, kitchen is 22' x 13' with about 30% wall area covered by units and french doors. Includes 1 coat emulsion on ceiling, 2 coats vinyl silk on walls, all woodwork plus 6 panelled doors (one side) in satin finish. I already have the emulsion and satin for woodwork, painter supplying wall paint.
