IHT / Probate forms

We are going to apply for probate as my Father in Law has died.
Do you send IHT250 and the PA1P application together to the Probate office?
The guidance is a little unclear and  on the PA form it mentions including an IHT summary form,  I presume that means the whole 8 page IHT document?

Do you mean IHT250, or IHT205? If the latter, send the whole form with the PA1P.

I’ve now realised IHT 400 needs doing as he had a small private pension of £6k per year 🙄
The Estate is @ £170k ,  seems like overkill when there is no tax to pay.  What a waste of paper.
