Paying for coronavirus test

Hello, My friends daughter has been told her fortnightly coronavirus test will come out of her wages. She works for a care company/care home. This seems wrong to me, but I can’t find anything on the internet, does anyone know? Thank you.

I don't think there is anything specifically stopping them doing it, although it sounds ridiculous. It won't be in her contract of employment, though, and therefore she should have to agree to it. If it would reduce her pay below NMW, I don't think they can do it. See: https://www.gov.uk/understanding-your-pay/deductions-from-your-pay

Highly unlikely they can do this, will be a unlawful deduction of wages I imagine1

Only if she doesn't agree to it (see my earlier post). See for example https://www.netlawman.co.uk/ia/unlawful-deductions-wagesEssJayD said:Highly unlikely they can do this, will be a unlawful deduction of wages I imagine1 -
