Curve Card - Refunds

Anybody else having a problem with refunds to their Curve Card following the change from Wirecard?
On June 30, a refund was made to my Curve card of a £500 deposit from a car dealership. They confirm the transaction went through their end but Curve have now told me that there is a general problem their end with no date as to when it will be resolved. They cannot tell me where the funds currently reside.
Can they do this? What rights do I have? I now have to pay off the balance on the underlying credit card myself when the the plan had always been that the initial deposit would be returned to the card before the statement date.

Hi
Yes, I've got a £744 flight refund stuck with Wirecard. The generic Curve advice is "If you’re waiting for a refund processed before 2pm, 27 June, this money is sitting safely with Wirecard. Rest assured, we are working with them to get it released to you as soon as possible."
When I contacted Curve they said basically the same thing. No timescale at all.1 -
Overnight my refund has finally turned up. Just now need to work out how to get it out from Curve Cash!Si_ said:Hi

They have an update coming sometime before the end of the month, where you can transfer the refund back to the underlying card, but for the time being you can just spend it from curve cash.kclare said:

When I contacted Curve they said basically the same thing. No timescale at all. They should have refunded it back to the original card that was used for the purchase, but it's fairly easy to liquidate Curve Cash by making a deposit into a savings account that allows deposits by Debit Card. There are quite a few such accounts, but I have used NS&I Direct Saver for this very purpose. If you don't want to open another savings account just for this purpose, Barclays Pingit also works with Curve, and the app takes a few minutes to set up and link to your existing bank account (you don't need a Barclays account any more - it can now be linked to any UK bank account).
