Looking for.a laptop

I want something that has a decent screen and will use it for internet browsing, social media, writing letters and documents and maybe editing photos.

Not bad for the price but it won't be very fast. It hasn't got an ssd and the hdd is the slower variety, not a 7200.

Why is it a shame? It doesn't even fit the most basic criteria of the OP.

One can buy 14" screens within budget all day. But is the OP prepared to take a hit with the screen size?
In addition, it's a TN screen with poor viewing angles.. Though that is expected at that price point.
