Mediation before court. Pcn

Options
Hi all just joined to ask for some advise. I was given a letter from the country court business centre about a PCN with Observices parking. I totally disagreed with the ticket so I defended it and agreed to go to mediation. But tbh I don’t know !!!!!! I’m doing. The ticket I don’t remember ever getting and I don’t ever remember receiving any letters to my house, I’ve been using the car park every day for 7 years (it’s my works car park).. in the car park there are permit spaces and free for anyone spaces. Often the signs are up/down/up/down it’s a bit of a free for all and everyone parks everywhere, 9/10 out of ten I’m in the “free” spaces but not always. The ticket was apparently issued sept 2017 so nearly three years And obv I don’t know where I was parked that day. When I got the letter I called and asked for evidence because I am pretty sure I’ve never been given a ticket but they told me they couldn’t provide any. I agreed to mediation and I’ve not heard anything since- been maybe a month now. What happens now? What should I say in mediation? My original defence letter to them was very amateur as I didn’t really understand quite how far this was going to go, I thought they would just drop it by now :-/

What should I say in mediation?
    Nothing.  Cancel the mediation immediately.
Parking charges are not for mediation, you will get bullied to settle (pay) and that is wrong.  Cancelling Mediation does not adversely affect your case..but...

My original defence letter to them was very amateur
Show us, don't be shy - you must have kept a copy so what exactly did your defence say?  You might have to ask the court for permission to change your defence if it's terrible.  Costs £100 court fee unless you are on a low income.  But show us.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP., it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and in some cases, cancellation.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, and an independent appeals service will be set up,

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

    http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2019/8/contents/of these Private Parking Companies.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Please do what @Coupon-mad posted and when you do that posting tell us a few dates.  Issue date of claim form from CCBC, what date you acknowledged the claim and what date you submitted your defence.
