Dubai during Ramadan?

Hi all, newbie poster, please be gentle.

I want to go somewhere hot late October and thought that Dubai would fit the bill. However, I notice that the time I want to go is during Ramadan. Will this make any difference? What about alternatives?

Not much difference except that food won't be available on the street during the day - though you'll be able to get fed in rooms in restaurants that don't face the street. Alcohol may be extremely hard to find

Don't stuff your face in public during the day and enjoy the evening activities

Welcome to MSE!!! There's a couple of threads already in here about Dubai, check them out for more info. In my rough guide it says what alanrowell suggests, don't stuff your face in public basically and expect the pace to slow down a little too.
