Buildings insurance/owner not living in property but son is

Hi, I’ve recently completed my IVA and am soon moving in with my new partner, this will leave my 25 year old son living in the marital home (jointly mortgaged with my ex-husband -no financial contributions from there). My buildings insurance is up for renewal this month but they all say that it’s for the owner to live there, my son only pays a nominal contribution to live at home. I know he should pay more but he’s had a lot go wrong in life and is trying to get himself picked up so I’m trying to support that. Hence not wanting to go down the landlord route. Is there any advice as to what insurance would be good 🤔
Debt Free 👏 Except the mortgage of course.
Looking to the future 😊

Check with your current insurer. They may well be content that it is an immediate family member who is living there. The main interest will probably be that it is not unoccupied and isn't used as a rental property.
