I am a customer, I am still owed the refund, what I disagree with is the account being deleted as there is now no record of my purchase. As I said, there is no dispute, the company are being purposely tardy for whatever reason as either I have been mistaken for someone else or this is their normal business practice. Amex have accepted the S75.
Well given that realistically nobody else is going to on something like this, I am just pointing out that you there is very little you can achieve.
Yes, you can tell them to delete. Given that the matter has been subject to a S.75 they may well be lawfully able to refuse. If they do then I suppose you can continue to debate the rights and wrongs of that via the ICO.
However, if they say they have deleted you have no way of checking if that is true. You would only ever find out if the information later resurfaced because of some new dispute. Nobody is actually going to go round there and check their records on your behalf.
