Built oven cracking

I recently had to replace a built in oven. My old Zanussi had given up the ghost and had a fan that sounded like a jumbo jet in take off. I plumped for a NEFF after reading some good reviews and was really looking forward to my new, quiet, oven. After a few days I noticed a cracking noise which NEFF duly sent out an engineer to look at. Expansion noises he said. Strange said I, never heard anything like that with my old oven. The noises were unbearable so I complained to AO where I bought it from and after quite a few emails and videos back and forth they agreed to replace. The noises were that loud you could hear them 2 rooms away.
This time I went for a Bosch (and yes, I know they’re basically the same company), and guess what.....still having the cracking noises on this one. They are so loud I’m loath to use the oven some days as it makes a purchase I was really looking forward to, so disappointing. I feel I can’t go back to AO again as they will just say, ‘see, told you.....just expansion sound”.

Has anyone else ever come across this problem? I’m either really unlucky to have 2 faulty ovens, under different brands, or it is something I’ve just got to put up with. Not sure I have any rights to return the oven either.

As you say they are one and the same, made in the same factory and in many cases the identical product with just a different name badged stuck on it... in some cases a minor cosmetic change may be made as there are minor differences in their target markets.
Unfortunately cannot help with "expansion noises", we have a new oven too and its fan is fairly loud (its a combi steam oven and its water noises are even louder) but they certainly can't be heard two rooms away (and I am hoping when built into a wall of units they'll be quieter as its in a temporary home in a stand alone unit for now.

I could live with a fan noise....at least that’s constant and you know it’s something operating, albeit some are quieter than others. The cracking makes you jump & it’s doesn’t sound ‘normal’.....certainly not to me anyway0

Then you need to go back to AO... my point above was really just because its a different brand doesn't mean its a different oven as its all the same factory, could be a batch of problematic ovens0

Yeah I think I’ll give it a go but I’ll get some video prepped in readiness. Thanks0
