Indesit washer dryer IWDE126....just found the part here: https://parts.indesit.co.uk/product/model_IWDE126UK/Control_Knobs/J00301798
the broken knob pulls off easily, will the new somehow ‘click’ on so it doesnt come off again?
thank you so much for any help XXX0 -
It should either have a built in spring mechanism or be an interference fitkippers said:Indesit washer dryer IWDE126....just found the part here: https://parts.indesit.co.uk/product/model_IWDE126UK/Control_Knobs/J00301798

interference fit - it's just tight/friction fitspring mechanism - it's usually a small flat spring in the handle

Years ago when I worked for Hotpoint their washer dryers had two big dials. The main dial was turned to select the program then pulled to switch on. The other dial was to select the dryer time only, if this was pulled it came off in your hand. My favourite job was walking in, pushing it back on & walking out again! I didn't charge.kippers said:Just wanted to say a GREAT BIG THANK YOU...... THE PART CAME AND I FIXED IT. This would have cost me pounds if id called an engineer out.
