Booked incorrect dates

Hi everyone,
My girlfriend accidently booked a package holiday for 2020 when it is meant to be for a wedding in 2021.
As soon as this was confirmed by email and less than 15 minutes later we were on the telephone to lastminute.com to try to sort. We were advised it would be £250 to cancel and they couldn't move the holiday as the dates are not available yet for next year. I requested a call back from a manager which I was told would be in the next 24 hours.
Still no response a week later so I called back. I got through again after 50 minutes. They guy who answered the call advised me that the person I spoken to last time should have issued me with a full refund as I had contacted them within 24 hours, no cancellation fee nothing. He again told me he would request this to be raised to management and I am still awaiting the call.
I am at a loss what else to do. What to you think of this situation, do I have any rights?

    Why did you not insist that the guy put you thru to a manager when you phoned the second time?

    I did but was told that they couldn't transfer me through as they are all working from home.

    Is there anything on their website or within the trading terms that covers such an issue and the opportunity to cancel if you contact them within 24 hours?
