Electrical certificate charges

Hi. I have been charged £270 for 3 bed house in Devon. I've had the results back saying it's needs 5 new light fitting because they are stretched £100 and a fee of £120 for admin and certificate. This doesn't make sense as surely the certificate is already included in the original price. I've asked and they said it's to produce another certificate? Any thoughts?

Presumably it's to certify the new work after they've done it? And the initial price is for reporting on what was already there? No idea whether the prices are competitive though.0

Standard I believe. Our electrician told us there was no point getting the EICR test done before having the wiring sorted as if it fails (and it will on any failed socket etc) you then pay the £300 charge again for recertification after it’s fixed.2

Why do you need it recertifying? It's not required for letting properties or owner-occupied ones.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
