I saw that one and thought: Maybe you could control the TV by talking to this puck through the Echo Show. Problem is, will the Echo also react to Alexa instructions, triggering off some sort of sorcerers apprentice sequence of events...
But it could work out well if the IR puck is taught to learn some explicit reserved word channel changing instructions. Again, have to try it at home first.0 -

If this is the solution that works for you, then on that device change the "wake" word, from memory you can have other options like "amazon" "echo" or "computer"1
