How to stop starlings punching all goes food

I have lots of starlingscemtying my bird feeders at a rapid rate. I have tried feeders with guards but they still empty them. Is there any food they won't take?
Any advice

They will eat anything and everything.
I find when I'm overwhelmed in number of adults & chicks, if I remove all food for several days they move on elsewhere and don't come back in such number.
I have a small garden which can't support the numbers I've had occasionally in the past when the chicks fledge.
