Can I get a Ryanair refund

Hi there, I wondered if anyone could advise?
There are 8 of us booked on a ryanair flight tomorrow from Aberdeen to Alicante, but the government are advising we don't travel and 2 of our party are shielding. Ryanair will let us reschedule the flight but it will cost an extra £120 each. The won't let us cancel and get a refund, so I am thinking about asking for a chargeback from the credit card company - does anyone have experience of this and if it is likely to be successful?
Many thanks in advance

A chargeback will fail. The flight is flying and it isnt the fault of Ryanair if you are choosing not to go.1

FCO advice is just that-advisory. Check if you can claim under your travel insurance, but unlikely. No free lunch, and no free laptop

In any case FCO advice to Spain changed at the weekend, although I assume you are on about the Scottish government. Doesnt matter either way.0

No, not the Scottish govt. FCO has jurisdiction in the whole of the UK, since international relations are not devolved. No free lunch, and no free laptop
