Outbound easyJet flight cancelled

Our outbound flight has been cancelled so applied for refund. Our home flight is still scheduled if this stays as scheduled we won’t be entitled to a refund we presume even though we can’t get there! Is our only option to change our flights for another time so we don’t lose this money? Can anyone recommend what we do? I’ve tried calling!

If both the outbound and return flights were booked on one booking then your application for refund would have been under the booking reference and not the flight reference (I've just done one so it's fresh in my mind) so you should get a refund for the whole booking. If you booked them separately I would wait until 15 days before and if not cancelled by then, then move the flights (free to do) to ones you want or to other random flights as far in the future as you can for the same value as your current flights with a view to moving them again in the future once flights you do want are available (for instance if you want to go summer 2021) - there will be a charge for changing this second time though.0

I've recently had outbound flights x 3 cancelled by Easyjet for a 7 day return trip to France on 25 July that was booked as an EJ 'package' with hire car totalling £1144.02. I've emailed EJ customer service to clarify if by requesting a refund for the cancelled outbound flights, I will automatically receive a full refund for the total cost of trip as the return flights and car hire serve no purpose now. I can't find an answer anywhere on their website, customer service hasn't replied to me to date (I sent a mail on 7/7) and every day I try calling I'm just left hanging on the phone listening to really irritating music for hours!!!! Can anyone advice me how to proceed? From Desperately Seeking A Refund0
