Return flight moved earlier in day - refundable?

I have flights to and from Barcelona on 25 and 27 July (for a sort of wedding that’s now cancelled). Easyjet have moved the return flight from 21.40 to 10.50 - am I entitled to a refund of either the return flight or both legs of the journey?

Is it the same flight number? If so, then their terms will specify how many hours they can reasonably move a flight by, Google them.

I'd suggest that a near-11 hour advance on a 2 hour flight can be considered a significant change. Sounds like they're merging the 2 flights. As bradders says, if they've changed the flight number then it's a cancellation, no argument.

  • I can’t see a time definition of significant change in their current T&Cs but yes it does seem significant. Annoyingly the flight no hasn’t changed but I’m pretty sure 10.50 was just an earlier flight that day and they’ve consolidated them. Need to ring them!

11 hours is classed as an insignificant change ...

    Insignificant Changes

If the change is insignificant, we’ll try and tell you about it. Examples of insignificant changes include alteration of your outward/return flights by less than 12 hours, change of accommodation to another of the same or higher standard, changes of carriers.   Where we are unable to provide a seat option that you have paid for we will refund the amount you have paid.

The booking condition above relates to package holidays only, 12 hours being the usual limit used by most operators. It is not applicable to flight only bookings, so remind them of that fact if they try to use it against you.
