Uber Eats Discount Code Expired before expire date

I received an email from Uber Eats containing a discount code "50% off your next order, maximum discount £15* ends 7 July 2020"

I placed my order at 5.57pm on 7th July 2020 however the code was not accepted.

In the terms and conditions at the bottom of the email it states "*50% off offer available until 11:55 pm on 7 July 2020. "

I contacted support regarding this after placing the order and they told me this code has expired. Asking them to explain why they say "Unfortunately, at this stage, we are unable to look into this matter further. We understand that this is not the resolution you were hoping for."

They closed the case and will not give an explanation or speak to me regarding this. Can they do this without an explanation???
