I made a booking with hotels .com for hotels in Amsterdam and Belgium using Tesco vouchers and paid the taxes by credit card .They were non refundable and hotels.com say neither will give a refund .Any suggestions what my next move should be .We obviously can’t go as flights cancelled and gov advice is not to ? Problem with an insurance claim is part of cost was by Tesco vouchers .

Is the hotel open when you are due to stay? If so then you wouldn’t be entitled to a refund anyway.0

Thanks for the info but we wouldn’t be covered by insurance if we took sick .adamp87 said:Unfortunately just because our government advises against travel the hotel is under no obligation to refund you.
Any way we can’t travel as even if I went my reservist husband has been deployed due to Covid and I am not happy driving abroad . The hotels were an add on after our main booking at Duinrell who cancelled us and gave us full credit to use next year .

You would be covered by the dutch health scheme as we are still in the EU. Check your insurance to see if your husband being called up is a valid reason to claim.Mwasc said:
