    I've had another thought - I believe you could link the credit card to a curve card, and almost certainly pay for the boiler with that if it's a firm rather than a sole trader? Because Curve looks like a debit card to them.
    But beware - it would lose you Section 75 protection. I think with a boiler purchase, I'd ideally want a firm that allowed me to pay by credit card, for additional consumer protection. They may agree to this is you offer to cover their credit card transaction fees (obviously don't say you want to do it that way so that you have a bulldog on your side to go after them i the event of problems!)
