Giving wrong meter readings
Comments

Can you elaborate a little? If you've been giving readings, albeit wrong ones, shouldn't they have used them? If they haven't used your wrong readings, there's less of a problem. What readings have you been giving?

Well l moved into my new build property in December 2018 was told e-on was my gas and electric supplier l got my first and second estimated bill quarterly and paid them both in full. I couldn’t afford to keep paying quarterly so l switched to paying monthly direct debit fixed rate for my electric from e-on to British Gas the switch went though fine. I tried to switch my gas as well but because l hadn’t paid my last quarterly bill I stayed with e-on. When e-on asked for meter readings for gas l gave them but on my bill it never says actual it says estimated so l looked into it and realised they were taking my electric readings instead of my gas0

What is the estimated usage number on your last gas bill and what is the current reading on your gas meter?
Have you also been relying on estimated reading for your electric?
If you can alter your heading to include EON, as there is very helpful EON reps on here that will notice it and give advice.
