Disputed Credit Card transaction

A Wayfair transaction for £225.98 showed on my credit card bill on 28 Feb 2020. Contacted CC provider to advise not my transaction and started dispute process. Also contacted Wayfair as order number was on bill. They would not give me any information as my name, email address or delivery address did not match the details they had for the transaction. They told me transaction was probably fraudulent and should contact CC for refund. CC refunded funds and did not hear anything further from them. The same transaction is now showing on my CC bill again - have raised another disputed transaction process. Has this happened to anyone else? Cannot get any more information from Wayfair due to data protection.

You might want to have your CC provider cancel the card and issue a new one.I had a fraudulent transaction on mine a few weeks ago, it wasn't a large amount, however a new card was ordered and the CC provider is investigating the transaction as a scam.1

The CC company did not reissue card first time but are doing so now.0

What did you card issuer say about the charge reappearing? Is it a new transaction that happens to be for the same amount or reapplication of the original?homemum said:The same transaction is now showing on my CC bill again - have raised another disputed transaction process. My wife's card has been pickpocketed twice and whilst there were a series of fraudulent transactions via contactless non-reappeared after disputing them.

They are treating it as a separate issue and so far have not said the 2 transactions are related.Sandtree said:

To be honest not sure - this came to light the first time when we had just gone into lockdown. communication with CC provider at that time was not easy.NoodleDoodleMan said:homemum said:The CC company did not reissue card first time but are doing so now.Did you request your credit card be replaced after the first disputed transaction ?0 -
Once your new card is active you can treat the second transaction as a separate dispute.Have you ever purchased goods from Wayfair in the past by credit card ?0
