Ryanair said it would be free to change booking, but is now charging.

I booked a trip (on 24th June) to the UK from Sweden for 14-19th July, to see my family, on the understanding that it could be changed for free if necessary. On Ryanair's website it still says that any trips booked from 10th June for July or August can be changed for free to a date before 31st Dec. My trip fits these criteria, however, when I tried to rebook (due to the quarantine still not being lifted) Ryanair wanted to charge me about eighty pounds. Does anyone know what I can do? They won't answer on their customer chat.

There is no rebooking fee, but you still have to pay any difference in the flight prices between the old and new dates. I suspect that is what the £80 extra is for.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
