Hi everyone 
Was a nice afternoon yesterday - I sat outside and read for a bit and then weeded between the paving stones. Fine again today so I'm going to do some more tidying in the garden and swop some plants around. I walked along to the post office this morning as mam had a parcel to post and called at Homebase...they had loads of plants reduced but I was good and only bought one....just need to find a space for it! 
I'm looking forward to tomorrow afternoon - I'm getting my hair cut!
Gers - hope your mum is ok today.

Afternoon all, it has rained off and on all morning.   My bird food arrived yesterday so they are happy and I had 4 bluetits on the table at the same time earlier. Also enjoying their fat balls, though the squirrels are trying to get them out of the holder as usual. There is one on the table now, but I think it's friend had the best bits earlier. The weight of all these plus the immensely portly pigeons and magpies is making the table quite wobbly now. 

We are running low on food supplies,  we could eat for a month or so but it would be boring and waiting for a delivery tomorrow.   Tonight we will have a beef and mushroom stir fry because that's what there is. I've just eaten the last piece of fruit so need more, we get that locally rather than from the supermarket.

I need to do some online learning thus week, to satisfy professional requirements. Not today, my motivation is poor today. 

Ruby, I'm glad that there is another potential route forwards for your daughter.

Hi all. Late one from me.  Gers hope your DM continues to improve. Good to hear that you guys are starting to get hair appointments. I had my toenails trimmed by my footcare lady who comes to the house and it was wonderful.
My breadmaker just died mid cycle and has joined the nicrowave which conked out in March and this week the sun parasol snapped in half . All old friends. Meh.
I am trawling the net for a reasonably priced replacenent. We ordered a new parasol this afternoon.
