Travel Trolley/British Airways cancelled return flight refund?

Hi,
I am looking for a bit of advice, I booked flights to the USA back in January for a trip in September for my 30th Birthday. I booked these flights via Skyscanner and Travel Trolley, the flight is operated by British Airways however I recently discovered that my return flight has been cancelled. I was not notified by Travel Trolley but a friend who booked directly with BA and is on the same flight. I rang BA and they said I need to contact Travel Trolley as they booked the flights. I contacted travel trolley and asked to change my flight dates to April/May 2021. I checked the flights and it was £17 more expensive for the dates I wanted which I would happily pay however Travel Trolley informed me it would be an extra £158 as thats what BA told them. The flight times are identical so I cant understand this cost.
Travel trolley offered me a credit which will take 3weeks to get from BA or a refund that will take 2 months. I am happy to go for the refund as I paid on a credit card and then did a balance transfer however I have since closed the credit card I paid on. Travel trolley's website says it will be refunded to the card paid on but the account is closed and I no longer use that bank.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Any advice would be much appreciated. If you go via the credit card route then its the card provider you used to pay irrespective of the balance transfer and closing the card, speak to your card provider you used.I cant say for sure but the refund might get redirected to the account you used to pay the card off but ask the card company that question.1 -
