HSBC mortgage appointment

How did you get the appointment? My broker is trying but wondering if this could be quicker.0

I did a DIP online direct with HSBC then called to book an appointment. I waited over 40 mins to get through but they were very helpful once I did get through. They said the next appointments were in 2 weeks but luckily there had been a cancellation so I booked that which was only 2 days away.0

We're currently doing the big wait with HSBC and I've honestly no idea what we'll do if they decline 😩0 -
The appointment is in 2 weeks time eek! Such a long wait for a potential no-go
To get the appointment I filled out an online DIP and then called to get it booked in.
Good luck everyone! House buying is difficult as it is.0 -
Best of luck everyone! Let's hope it all goes smoothly.2

How do they go through your income and expenditure if they havent asked for your bank statements?0

They ask questions and you answer them.. simple as that!JOHNSONMILES said:How do they go through your income and expenditure if they havent asked for your bank statements? If application proceeds any further then credit report and documentation they may ask for will back up income and expenditure.0 -

I had a telephone appointment with HSBC two weeks ago and it did take the full two hours. I have already populated a lot of the information online but the mortgage advisor was just asking me to confirm the info. She also spent a lot of time reading me some of the T&Cs which she can't skip. I had a joint application so I presume it would be slightly quicker if you're applying as the sole applicant. I got the DIP on the day and the actual mortgage offer came about two weeks later after it has been "referred manually".
Good luck!0 -
Thanks for this info. Did they ask you for any more documents? When was the valuation done?euanovsky said:I had a telephone appointment with HSBC two weeks ago and it did take the full two hours.
