Good afternoon, we had a holiday booked for the 4th July 2020 with TUI and were given the option to amend due to the COVID pandemic, I rearranged the holiday for 31st July 2020, then received an email to say it was cancelled so have rearranged it to the 12th August 2020 still with TUI,  I have since found out that the Hotel we are due to go to is closed and will not be open for this season.  This information has come from staff at the Hotel whom are currently on furlough.  I rang TUI last week and they have said that they don't know the hotel is closed, which I find unbelievable as we are already part way the spring/summer holiday season.  I have tried to ring TUI again today and am still on hold after 1 hour and a half and counting, no answer I have tried to ring the hotel but no answer and have also sent several emails and also no answer, so all things point to the fact the Hotel is closed.  However TUI are still selling this holiday from certain UK airports, how is this legally allowed ?  I welcome any advice with this matter.  We are due to fly out Wednesday 12th August from Manchester to Mahon Airport in Menorca staying at the Suneo Victoria Playa Hotel for  a week.  Kind regards Alison.

It's legally allowed as it will just be an error on their website.

If the hotel is closed, people won't be going there.

It is frustrating.  We have just had a holiday cancelled with Tui and am looking to rebook.  I had seen a holiday I liked the look of but I've worked out that the hotel is closed until Sept so no point in booking.

If you want to use your booking incentive to rebook, you could consider booking for next year.
