@burge1983 Cheers, the third one was probably Accord. If and when you do apply, please do update the thread on how it went. I'm sure it would be helpful to those looking for non-HSBC alternatives for 90% mortgages.burge1983 said:
It's a friend mate, not sure who he works for firm wise...when we went for the aip the other week, three options came back, HSBC (but he mentioned the issue with limited products each day), bank of Ireland and another one that I cant recall who it wasjamielutz1987 said:burge1983 said:Me and my partner have an agreement in principle with bank of Ireland, 90%ltv..will be submitting full application this friday. Not confident tbh, so I'd welcome any input from other people who have had dealings with them@burge1983 Interesting that your broker has access to a 90% BOI product as I don't see any on their intermediary website. Good luck with the application! Do you mind sharing which broking firm you are using?
Accord, the other major non-HSBC lender in the 90% space has just pulled their products today, citing an inability to cope with volumes.

Did you apply in the end?burge1983 said:Yea, I've spilled all my anxious ramblings on him and hes said that everything looks ok, and that it all looks fine. We're up the creek if it falls apart as I genuinely don't know what we'll do! Affordability is all good and we're not anywhere close to our borrowing limitavvording to the calculations (thinks it roughly 2.7 times salary were borrowing)..both NHS employed and have been working throughout the past few months so pay slips all look good...be a kick in the teeth if we don't get it as the mortgage is less than we've ever paid in rent in 5 years having our own place
we went with BOI in the end but worrying myself as the intermediary lending criteria doesn’t match what th broker told us on the product, which our new property would fail on. But the product isn’t on the intermediary site so.1 -
@burge1983 given the paucity of 90% lenders, it would be great to know how this went!0

We had the 90% boi deal. Definitely existed.1

Do exclusive deals normally have different criteria?haras_n0sirrah said:We had the 90% boi deal. Definitely existed.0 -
Criteria the same but it was a special product so didn't show on website. You had to be on their bespoke panel - guess it was to do with amount of business placed or something?0

Our application went in yesterday. Our broker was keen to get it submitted early doors as hed had contact from BoI business development team to inform him that the rates were going to be changed at 5pm yesterday.jamielutz1987 said:@burge1983 given the paucity of 90% lenders, it would be great to know how this went!
Been inform that there is currently roughly 14 working days for application to offer. So a pretty anxious few weeks lie ahead of us unfortunately1 -
The OP of this thread said they'd submitted their application a few days ago on the waiting decision thread, so they might know a bit more progress wise as to how things are running0

Hoping so. It’s quite different to what’s on the websiteharas_n0sirrah said:Criteria the same but it was a special product so didn't show on website. You had to be on their bespoke panel - guess it was to do with amount of business placed or something?0 -
