Anyone any recent experience on this? Are they easier than HSBC? Thinking up a plan B

@28tsw Their intermediary website doesn't show any products for LTVs over 85%.

@28tsw It could be one of those lender exclusives that are only offered through certain brokers I suppose.

Me and my partner have an agreement in principle with bank of Ireland,  90%ltv..will be submitting full application this friday. Not confident tbh, so I'd welcome any input from other people who have had dealings with them

Do you mind me asking why you’re not confident?

Yea, course. We've basically had to try and rush through a mortgage as our landlords are selling the house we rent in and want us out in 6 weeks.

Theres nothing glaringly wrong with us financially,  no adverse or anything like that,  but are finances are a bit all all over the place and always thought I'd be more prepared when we went forward with a mortgage. We've had to go for a gifted deposit to try and get this done.  Weve been in our overdrafts on our bank statements,  but cleared these this month, got a few grand on a credit card that has come down from nearly seven grand at the start of the year. Couple of occasions on my account I've hone over my od limit but have rectified immediately so no charges or returned dd's or anything but I donr know how this would be looked on. Our credit reports all look decent apart from 1 late payment on my partners next card in January.

Been hoovering up information on here ended up with negative vibes!!
Our broker seems to think it's all good tho and theres nothing to really stress about..guess well soon find out

@burge1983 Interesting that your broker has access to a 90% BOI product as I don't see any on their intermediary website. Good luck with the application! Do you mind sharing which broking firm you are using?

Accord, the other major non-HSBC lender in the 90% space has just pulled their products today, citing an inability to cope with volumes.

Yea, I've spilled all my anxious ramblings on him and hes said that everything looks ok, and that it all looks fine. We're up the creek if it falls apart as I genuinely don't know what we'll do! Affordability is all good and we're not anywhere close to our borrowing limitavvording to the calculations (thinks it roughly 2.7 times salary were borrowing)..both NHS employed and have been working throughout the past few months so pay slips all look good...be a kick in the teeth if we don't get it as the mortgage is less than we've ever paid in rent in 5 years having our own place

It's a friend mate, not sure who he works for firm wise...when we went for the aip the other week,  three options came back, HSBC (but he mentioned the issue with limited products each day), bank of Ireland and another one that I cant recall who it was
