Paternity leave and furlough

hi I have been on furlough since April and I am currently still on furlough. I am lucky enough to be receiving 100% pay. Me and partner recent had a baby on 15/06/20 and I am wondering if you accrue paternity leave on furlough? I understand that you accrue annual leave but unsure about paternity. I don’t want to take the mick with my employer and ask for 2 weeks off when I go back work when I’ve been getting full pay for nearly 4 months. I just need to find out what I’m entitled too and can then make a decision.
Thanks

Furlough and paternity leave are entirely separate, but I don't think you can be furloughed and be on paternity leave. As you are paid your full salary while on furlough, if the time limit for paternity leave will run out before your furlough ends, it won't matter to you which applies, but it will matter to your employer. I suggest you talk it over with your employer.0

When did you tell your employer you were going to take your paternity leave?0

You are furloughed on full pay which is a far better deal than paternity pay, it would also seem a little churlish to demand time off for paternity leave after being on full pay furlough for months.TomHerbert8 said:Thanks, this has given me a bit more information.I am Still unsure if I am entitled to it after furlough.2 -

This has been on full pay.... I really would advise you don’t bring it up with your employer.1
