Credit Card Reclaim Holiday Cost

Hi All
I had a holiday booked for Florida over Easter gone, needless to say due to COVID we couldn't go.
I made many payments on my barclaycard flights etc but the Villa I booked direct with the villa owner who only accepted bank transfer.
We managed to get some of the payments refunded that I made by Barclaycard, but the villa owner has said no refund or transfer to new dates ( not that we have the money any longer saved to plan again anyway).
My question is with no travel insurance in place, as we paid for all other things by credit card is there a chance we can claim the villa costs from Barclaycard ? Asking as I think I have heard the have some sort of protection.
Thanks in Advance

I can't see what protection you'd have in this scenario - you booked flights and accommodation as independent transactions and didn't pay anything towards the latter by card so can't pin any sort of liability on Barclaycard. Travel insurance is out if you didn't have any, so that's an expensive lesson learned....1
