Replace with a shower. Unless the prospective buyers have children, then a bath-sized 1700x700mm walk in shower is far better, and not an expensive conversion to do, since all the plumbing is already in place,

A nice house with a  tiny bathroom is cheaper than the same house with a big bathroom.  If you personally don't mind having a tiny bathroom, you get more for your money in terms of the rest of the house.  If it is a problem for you, buy a house with a  bigger bathroom and smaller bedrooms for the same money.
When you come to sell it, it will sell to somebody else who would prefer a small bathroom and big bedrooms, which means it will not sell for as much as a house with a big bathroom, but that's ok as long as you paid the correct price in the first place.
All houses are compromises somewhere.  All that matters is that you can live with the drawbacks, and that the price you pay takes the drawbacks into acount.  We are all, always, buying houses with drawbacks that we don't care about, because those are the best houses for us.

Another vote for hanging the door outwards. We have a tiny bathroom and did this - it means that the whole of the room is usable as the door doesn't go into it.

I’ve got a big bathroom at the minute but in order to create a 4th bedroom in the loft and a proper set of stairs i will be having a tiny shower room. I know people say it will take away from saleability but my house is for us to live in not somebody possibly in the future and the way i see it is what we lose in floor space, the kids will all gain their own personal rooms to get dressed and preened in so its worth the sacrifice.

So if you're happy to live with a smaller bathroom then go for it

It's a bathroom, I'm only there for certain things.

Our bathroom (not a shower room) is smaller than that - 1.7m x 1.5m and it's been fine for us (family of four, we moved in with a baby and a toddler, now have two kids capable of toileting and washing themselves - it was okay through all stages).  As others have said, having the door open outwards makes a difference.

We have recently added a more spacious bathroom in the attic conversion and it's nice to have, but my husband and I still mainly use the original small bathroom for our daily showers etc.  We always had the option to extend the bathroom sideways into a large cupboard in the next bedroom but we chose not to do so.  It wouldn't have cost much to do and we're happy getting things like that done, so I think that shows how little of an issue the small bathroom was to us.

I would much prefer a small nicely finished bathroom to a large rubbish one!

Does size matter (chuckle) or is it perceived size? My bathroom is small with the world's smallest bath (more of a bucket) but the room looks a lot bigger because of a big...

mirror! Taking that mirror down makes the bathroom seem to shrink!
