Laminate flooring eneven floor

Hi all. So I've posted a few topics on here as have had issues after issues with our building works.

This time I would be grateful for advice regarding my recently installed quickstep laminate flooring. I got t someone over to lay the laminate and he was supposed to sort out the uneven floor but when I checked after he had finished he didn't do it properly. In the middle of the room where a wall was preciously removed there is a dip which he just put double underlay with. I am not happy but I don't trust the guy anymore and want to get it sorted. I now have skirting on top as well to make things more tricky. I want to get the flooring removed in the affected area and get the area evened out.

Any idea what I can expect cost wise to and how long it would take to remove some skirting, remove the click laminate, even that area of floor and put the laminate and skirting back? It is annoying me so I would prefer to get it done.

probably the same as you paid the first time, plus the cost of a few bags of self leveller

But I don't need to to remove all the flooring. Only some so how can it be the same price?

Glueless laminate floor can be assembled only in one direction and disassembled in the opposite direction. So, it depends on your luck

That's good I think as problem area is in living room and laminate was laid starting from the entrance hallway so don't have to touch that area.

the tonge and groove laminates were so much better for neater seamless finish. My brother used to fit them for a living and he'd do one seamless fit throughout the enture floor going into rooms, corridors etc. He'd take off the skirting boards and tuck the laminate underneath and then put the skirting back on. Becasue they were hammer in tongue and groove they can be fitted above or below, and he got reall good flush fitting to the doorframes.
Now theyve changed the designs to snap and click ones which go in one way and it's impossible to get the accurate fit. Rooms and corridors need to be fitted sperately.

The installer has agreed to come and take a look at the laminate flooring. Can laminate be removed from the edges or does it have to be removed from the corner of the room? Really want to avoid removing from the corner.

I am also not sure I trust this guy much after what happened. Any idea how I should expect him to even the flooring in the center of the room?

I was thinking planing the joist that the raised floorboards lay on to lower the height or to pane the actual boards but I don't want to risk weakening the floorboards obviously.

If he screwed up once, I would not trust him for a second time.
