Halifax, it didn't even need to come from an external account like some banks insist upon. You can just slosh money between 1 Halifax account to another Halifax accountDCFC79 said:
Halifax did didn't it ?colsten said:
Not one single current account requires a salary to be paid into it. Many people don't even have a salary (e.g. pensioners, stay-at-home parents etc).DCFC79 said:Yes it can come from another account is how I have mine setup, its 1 of the accounts that I know of where it doesn't need to be a salary.
Didnt know if there were others I didnt have hence why I said that I know of.
In any case thanks for the update.0 -
And the "main account" shortcut is just asking for a couple of DD's. But as we all know there's way round this.dcs34 said:There have been accounts that heavily implied a salary needed to be paid in, much in the same way banks heavily imply a current account switch offer must be your "main" current account.
No bank can determine what payments are salary payments in the same way they can't determine what a "main" account is. Of course minimum monthly pay-ins is their shortcut around this to try to ensure most of the accounts getting benefits are being used by customers as the banks would want them to be, rather than those MSE users reaping the rewards!
It's impossible to define what a main account is anyway. I have a number of accounts which do get used properly but for different things0 -
how did you manage to open 4 was it all online or in branch?CRISPIANNE3 said:

I should have chosen the cinema tickets again. Opted for the Rakuten TV codes instead. Wish I hadn't!

I've been pretty happy with the Rakuten codes. No restrictions as to which films you can watch and streams well using a Chrome Cast. This is an added bonus to opening the current account when all I wanted was access to the Club Lloyds Regular Saver.0
