Apologises if I've posted in the wrong section, I've had a look on the forum and couldn't see any similar threads.
Hopefully someone can clarify if I've interpreted S75 cover correctly.
We are intending to book a trekking holiday next year in the Himalayas as a small group with a reputable tour company.
Although reputable, any number of things could go wrong in the meantime.
As the other 2 members of the group are related (Uncle + Nephew), I'm the only one without a family relation to the group.
If the nephew were to make the payments on his Visa CC for the 3 of us, am I correct that I wouldn't be covered under the S75 as we are unrelated?
If I've understood correctly, the other 2 would be covered as they are family members and therefore a direct link.
I have an annual travel insurance policy in any case, just trying to have a 2nd avenue in place if anything should go wrong.
Many thanks

i don't think you have to be related as such, but just all going on the same holiday.
eg an unmarried couple would be covered.
happy to be corrected0 -
Would they take separate payments? Then you could use your own cc and get the section 75 cover.0

Thank you @happy_hazelnuts and @Nebulous2
I haven't contacted them yet, I think that I'll try that first @Nebulous2.

Glasydorlan,
That circumstance is covered in the article:
https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/section75-protect-your-purchases/
Assuming nephew makes payment with credit card you'd either be covered by him, if not making a payment with your card probably won't help as contractual liability is between Nephew & Travel company, you have no contractual relationship to enforce (you're just going on the holiday), unless the invoice is addressed to all of you of course (as opposed to just being named as travellers).
