Claim the lot - if you allow £25 for cleaning then you are admitting it was needed.
Yup, that makes sense. I will claim the lot. Thanks

My dispute is actually with the agency, rather than the landlord directly. But let's see how it goes. I've sent in the dispute now (claiming the full amount). Will report back on whatever happens next. They have quite a nerve bringing in a pro cleaner to the tune of £220 of MY money, when I had to move into a dusty, barely cleaned apartment!!!

Professional clean isn't really a thing
Professional clean certainly IS "a thing".

It's a clean done by anybody being paid to do it.

I am not convinced many people do cleaning as a hobby LOL

    Nope.

Your contract is with the landlord, your beef is with the landlord.
Your landlord has a contract with the agency to act on his part and behalf.

You've not met my sister then.......
She has a cleaner come in so the house is always immaculate, but of course she cleans the house herself top to bottom before the cleaner comes to avoid embarrasing herself......

So I submitted the dispute and the scheme said I first need to try and resolve with the agency. I didn’t expect that. I assumed the next step would be submitting my evidence to the scheme. Does anyone have tips on how best to approach the agency?

What issue did you have with the draft letter I suggested back on 5th July (page 1 of this thread)?

TBH, I forgot it was there. Just had a look and it seems fine. I'll happily use it. Thank you!
